Eligible for H1N1 or Seasonal Flumist
To receive the H1N1 Flumist or Seasonal Flumist from our office, you must be a current patient or a family member of a current patient, and meet the following criteria:
- Ages 2-49 years
- At least 2 weeks between H1N1 and Seasonal Flumist, but 4 weeks between 2 H1N1 doses.
- At least 28 days after the onset of influenza
- At least 14 days since the last dose of Tamiflu
- Asthma stable, no active asthma flare, may get vaccine upon resolution of an asthma flare
- Cannot be actively ill
- No immunosuppressive drugs, no daily prednisone, no cyclosporine, no methotrexate
- Patients with immunodeficiency must be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
- <10 years of age require 2 doses of H1N1 vaccine 4 weeks apart.
