Flu Recommendations for Patients with Asthma
Patients with asthma are at increased risk of severe or complicated infection with both seasonal influenza virus and H1N1 (swine flu) virus.
In order to minimize these risks, it is very important for patients with asthma to:
- Carefully follow their Asthma Action Plans and take their Green Zone medications exactly as directed.
- Be immunized with both seasonal flu vaccine (currently available) and H1N1 (swine flu) vaccine as soon as it becomes available.
