Q. When will H1N1 vaccine be available?
A. It is not completely clear. There will be some vaccine by mid- to
late October but we don’t yet know who it will be for or how many
doses will be needed.

Q. If I’ve already had H1N1 should I get the H1N1 vaccine when it is
available?
A. Yes.

Q. If I’ve already had seasonal flu should I get H1N1 vaccine?
A. Yes.

Q. Does seasonal flu vaccine protect against H1N1?
A. No.

Q. Does H1N1 vaccine protect against seasonal flu.
A. No.

Q. What about egg allergic patients?
A. Patients with egg allergy who have passed a flu vaccine challenge
in the past can get H1N1 vaccine without a challenge. All other
patients will need a vaccine challenge.
